Healthcare venture capital · Development
HealthQuad is a healthcare venture capital firm investing across Asia. I developed the website: the CMS structure behind 72 pages, the motion that runs without touching the main thread, and the metadata that makes every page findable.
01 · First paint
The hero plays a 4 MB background video, and the page still paints in 0.64 s and finishes its largest paint at 0.69 s on a throttled phone profile (4x CPU slowdown, 1.6 Mbps). Layout shift is 0.0007, which is effectively none: nothing moves after it appears. The video streams in behind a ready page instead of holding it up.
02 · Numbers
$350M+, 200+, 18, 5, 100M+. Each character is a separate node, so a counter can animate digit by digit without the text reflowing around it. They start only when scrolled into view, so the count is seen rather than finished before anyone looks.
03 · Tickers
The founder logos loop as one transform-only animation of 143 seconds per cycle. Animating transform alone keeps it off the main thread, so it stays smooth while the rest of the page loads and scrolls.
04 · Press
The six press items are rendered three times and the loop slides exactly one copy, so the end meets the start with no jump. One transform animation of 249 seconds per cycle, and every item links out to its article.
05 · Portfolio CMS
Each company is a CMS record: year first invested, status, fund and one or more impact areas such as Accessibility or Quality of Care. The listing and every company page are generated from those records, each on its own readable URL with its own canonical link. Adding a company means filling in fields, not editing a layout.
06 · Team CMS
Every team member has a page whose title and description are built from their fields, such as Rahul Agarwal, Partner and IC Member, HealthQuad. Together with the portfolio that makes 72 generated pages, all in a 89-URL sitemap, with robots rules, canonical links, and large-image Open Graph and Twitter cards for sharing.
